Baffle matters pad
Date:November 27, 2013
Pros: Pillows, Mattress Pads/Comfort Layers
"I have had 2 of these ( the first did not work, so I got a second one). With each pad, even with the baffles, the content gets bunched up. I was looking so something else that would do what this one is supposed to do, but there is none. Each night I have to take the topper off and shake the contents to get it to re-distribute. Exhausting. Bed is OK, but the topper? Not recommended."

Thanks for taking the time to review your In Balance™ UltraLoft Layer, Surfer Boy. I'm so sorry it wasn’t a good fit for you! If you're still within your 30 day exchange period, you might want to consider exchanging this product for our In Balance™ Layer or Mattress Pad, which will still provide the same temperature balancing effects but also have a little less fill which should prevent the product from bunching. If you’d like discuss this option with us, just stop by your local store or give us a call at 1-800-472-7185 anytime from 8 AM to 8 PM CT Monday through Friday or from 8:30 to 5 PM CT on Saturday and we’ll be happy to continue working with you.
Have a great day!

Ultraloft is right
Date:October 22, 2013
Pros: Mattress Pads/Comfort Layers
"I bought this to replace my down feather mattress topper that had compacted and was lumpy in spots. We have a C2 but upgraded it to a C4 by getting a 1.5" foam insert (basically the only difference between a C2 and C4) via customer service since I couldn't find it online. Great deal for $100 since the C4 is over $500 more than the C2. When I got the foam insert the bed was MUCH more comfortable but when I added the Ultra loft layer it felt like a cloud! I had to fight the urge to nap all day and it's hard to get out of bed in the morning. I suspect it will contact in time but it's thick enough to be comfortable for a long time. The In Balance coolness is pretty neat too, it feels fresh all night, like you just layed down. Kind of like when you flip your pillow to the cool side, this stays slightly cool under you. I will probably buy the In Balance sheets next."
"I must admit that I purchased this item on a whim primarily because it looked like something I would like on my Sleep Number bed. Makes no sense as to why I purchased it ,does it? I guess it was one of those "maybe I don't need it, but I want it:" things that women do. When it arrived, I did my usual minute inspections of the product for construction and quality of materials used to comprise it. It appeared to be excellently constucted with tight stitching of the shell and around each section of the individual comfort layers. The filling is the down alternative which stays in place due to the quilted squares on the top of the pad. It is extremely easy to place on top of the mattress, and the use of the anchor straps holds it firmly in place. I couldn't wait to get into bed to see if I liked it. When lying on it, you feel as if you are encased in a fluffy cacoon. As my bed enfolds me, this product just enhances the experience of sleeping on a cloud. It keeps my body temperature at a consistent level. When I change the sheets on my bed, I take the pad and shake it rapidly on all sides to fluff the pad filling although it really doesn't require this action. I have yet to launder it and am anxious to do so to see how it performs after washing and drying it. I have no doubt that it will remain in its pristine condition. As with all of the Sleep Number products I have purchased, this one is well worth the cost although some may think it too expensive. Sometimes I think that people forget that "you get what you pay for" so this pruduct is worth every penny spent on its purchase."
