Company very helpful
Date:August 9, 2012
"We purchased the M7 with adjustable base and got the best sleep in years for several months until we found my wife was allergic to the memory foam. Even though we were past the trial period the compamy worked with us and switched us into the I8 for only a delivery charge. Love the bed. If you have a problem ask for help."

LOVE MY NEW M7
Date:July 29, 2012
"I purchased the M7 queen flex fit bed in April, 2012 and I am so glad I did, I have never slept better! I had one issue with one bladders leaking so I called customer service they were so helpful and they sent me out a replacement that I received in just 4 days. I installed the the new bladder myself that day and I am back to sleeping amazingly. LOVE THIS BED!!"

Finally.....restfull sleep
Date:April 4, 2012
"We received our M7 sleep number bed about 3 weeks ago. We used to have a free-flow water bed that my back would no longer allow me to sleep on. My husband loves very soft sleep surface & I found on a recent business trip that I prefer a very firm sleep surface. This bed has allowed me to sleep through the night! Love it! The price is high, but sleep is a priority."

Best Sleep Number Bed EVER!!!
Date:March 17, 2012
"This is our third Sleep Number bed. Our family keeps growing and so does the bed size! I really liked our last Sleep Number Bed which was comparable to the i8. It was very comfortable and support our backs. My wife and I are blown away by the comfort of our new m7!!!! We both fall asleep in one spot and wake up in the same position feeling great! Plus...I do not get warm anymore throughout the night!!! Sleep Number + Memory Foam is like Peanut Butter and Jelly. They just go great together!!!"

Final Review after one year
Date:June 18, 2013
"So, I've been sleeping on this bed for a year now and I'm so sorry I bought all those other beds before because SN is so expensive. Every night when I go to bed, no matter how hard the day was, I go "ahhhhhh." It's wonderful. Too bad they are so expensive; I know a heck of a lot of people who need this bed!
Also, it took me 3-4 months to find my perfect sleep number and I haven't touched it since! Absolutely perfect.
My bed does look different from the pics on this website. I'm assuming the components are the same but the cover is different.
Anyway, 5 stars from me for comfort and sleep quality."

To replace parts
Date:April 6, 2013
"I bought this bed in 2007. My pump went out on Feb 2013. I could not get a new from a store. It had to be shipped and that will take about three days!!! So I have to go without sleeping in my bed for three nights. I'm a disable Vet and I don't sleep well sitting up or on my couch. I'm so mad that I can't go to a store and exchange the broken pump for a new one. You should be able to get replacement parts from a store !!! NOT HAVE TO WAIT THREE OR MORE DAYS TO SLEEP IN YOUR BED !!!!!!
I will not recommend this bed to anyone because of this. I will be buying a new bed with in the next 30 days. I will also put this on Facebook so everyone knows NOT TO BUY THIS BED !!!!

Love our bed
Date:January 3, 2013
"We purchased this bed in July 2012 on a recommendation from my sister whose had a sleep number bed for over 6 years. My wife got used to it immediately, but I had a few nights of adjusting to find my actual number. Our old bed was shot with no support and that was the problem.
At the end of the day my back is often sore. I set the bed to 100 and lay on it unitl I'm ready to sleep and then drop it to my setting.
So far it's been a great experience."

worst bed purchase ever
Date:July 23, 2012
"We bought a sleep number bed 4 years ago, and It finally took 8 months to realize this was a huge mistake, I could not get to sleep at all, and kept going out on the sofa to sleep, and then my Husband finally asked me what was going on and I told him it was the bed, I hated it!!! So we ended up giving it away to my son who had just moved out and needed a bed, and than we bought a memory foam bed, a year ago and is like heaven, I sleep wonderfully well now! Make sure you have a 60 - 90 trial with this bed, it is not what it would seem,"

Response from Sleep NumberBy Chris VOnline Customer CareJuly 24, 2012
Hi Debs, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. My name is Chris, and I work for Sleep Number’s Online Customer Care team. I really wish we could have spoken with you while you still had your bed to see what options we could have offered to get you more comfortable, but it’s great to hear you’re sleeping well on your new mattress and I hope your son loves the Sleep Number you gave him!

We understand it can take time to decide if a Sleep Number bed is a good fit for your needs, and we agree that it’s important to have time to try the bed in your own home to make sure you chose a model you’ll love. This is the reason why all of our core line beds come with a 30 night In-Home Trial. In those rare situations where a little more time is needed or you need some tips to find a good comfort setting, our Customer Service department is happy to see what we can do to help you sleep better.

If your son ever needs to contact us about his bed, he can reach us at 1-800-472-7185 from 8:00-6:00 Central Time Monday through Friday or from 8:30-5:00 Central Time on Saturday, or by email at customerserivce@selectcomfort.com if that’s more convenient. Sleep well!

"(Couldn't figure out how to link to prior review) Anyway, I had asked for the m7 to be replaced by the i8 but when the guys got there to set up the i8, they told me I had the m7 put together wrong. When I saw how cheap the i8 padding looked, I opted to keep the m7, but had them put it together correctly. These guys are pros - I HIGHLY recommend you go ahead and pay the extra $200 to have them put it together for you. Now, I like my m7 a lot - sleep number 50. It feels really wonderful to collapse into at the end of the day. It is no longer rock hard and actually you sink just a bit into that memory foam - not in an old couch sort of way, but in an 'ahhh' sort of way. I love my bed now, but I must say that it does sleep hot. There's no denying that. But if you move a bit, it will cool down very quickly so it's not difficult to sleep on at all. I'm very glad I kept it!"

Ugh!
Date:June 22, 2012
"I bought an M7 with high hopes based on the pics and description. I've wanted a Sleep Number for quite some time but was put off by the cost.
I am SO DISAPPOINTED!!! (I wish I could post a pic!) I put it together myself - was very fast and easy but nothing in the mattress fit!!! The foam parts that are supposed to make the mattress square just absolutely did not fit inside the mattress cover so everything had to be crammed in there an inch at a time. Did finally get it done. THEN (!), the memory foam layer covers approximately 65% of the top of the bed, leaving about 10 inches uncovered at top or bottom. I centered it to be able to sleep, but it really is an epic fail. I'm 5'6", sleeping on a queen - when centered, my pillow is on the foam but my feet are not - the foam is not long enough to support both my head and my feet. The pillow keeps falling off the memory foam, leaving me pitched and hurting! If I center myself carefully and don't move too much, I can sleep on the bed for a few hours, but it's like sleeping on heated granite and eventually I have to move to the guest bedroom (where a 16 year old conventional bed is about 10000% more comfortable). I've been sleeping in there A LOT. I have requested an exchange for an i8 and am very hopeful that will be more comfortable and not so ugly. I'll post a review on that when it finally comes - and I'm paying to have them put it together to see if it's any less ugly.
I guess if you like a very, very, very, very firm mattress, and you bought some extra foam of the same thickness and stuck it in there, this might be the bed for you. BTW - changing the sleep number (which works perfectly) does not affect the rock-hardness of the memory foam in any way whatsoever. You just sink or rise.

Comfortable but Hot
Date:June 3, 2012
"We've had an m7 bed for 19 days now, with the FliexFit+ Adjustable Base. My wife unequivocally loves it and would give it 5 stars across the board.
I have a more mixed opinion, and it might help readers to know some criticisms as they weigh this purchase.
1. At least for me, the "cooling gel" technology in this bed has not been successful. I am constantly hot, it's like sleeping in a bread warmer on a low temperature. Yes, we have the temperature balancing pad under the sheets. We have ordered temperature balancing sheets but they are not as soft as the Lyocell, so they'll be a compromise. In retrospect, I wish that my wife could have m7 on her side and I could have a non-foam mattress for my side. As our 30 days approaches, we are discussing whether to return or swap the mattresses because I'm so uncomfortable with the heat.
2. The bed does provide a lot of pressure point relief but, for me, it's not because of the ability to inflate/deflate the bladder but rather because of the ability to angle the bed. The FlexFit+ base is great! Note, however, that based upon the warranty card, this bed is made by Leggett and Platt. They have many other lines of adjustable beds that are much cheaper than SleepNumber and the only major difference seems to be the air bladder. So, there are likely other ways to get this frame and pair it with a more cost effective mattress if the air bladder isn't for you.
3. We have the m7 king with split mattresses. The mattress, frame, and initial bedding, cost $7500. Frankly, for that price,I find it cheap that it didn't come bundled with two remotes for controlling the air bladder. It cost another $99 to buy a second remote.
4. On the same note, it's a hassle to have two remotes - one to adjust the angle of the bed, and one to control the inflation. Why not one universal remote?"

ONE REMOTE ONLY
Date:March 2, 2012
"I bought a memory foam king size bed from Sleep Number and I am very happy with the bed. I have never slept better. I did not expect Sleep Number to only give us one remote with a king size mattress, especially since our sales representative suggested we put the bed back to 100 every day to keep the memory foam new. I think two remotes should be a standard feature. I'm already tired of passing the remote and don't feel like paying more money when I just spent as much as I did."

Memory Foam?
Date:February 9, 2012
"This foam has a completely different feel from my old memory foam bed. I sleep cooler, longer, and feel so much better when I wake up. I love how much easier it is to move on the bed, and the fact that I don't feel like I'm encased in foam, stuck.
It's a great bed, just deserves a better name than memory foam. :)

The relief I have been waiting for
Date:February 9, 2012
"I have had my sleep number for 6 months or so and I am extremely please with it. I had a traditional memory foam mattress before and it was beginning to sag cause terrible back pain and spasms. I have suffered from back pain for 10 yrs. It did take me some time to find my 'sleep number', but once I found it, I sleep well and wake up without back pain. I feel like my bed was a good value for the quality of construction and the fact it is made in America. The true test will be how it holds up after 15-20 years..."

I have an older bed and I LOVE this new model
Date:February 6, 2012
"I've loved sleeping on an older Select Comfort bed for almost 10 years. Last night, while shopping for pillows, I tried the new memory foam model at the local store. It was GREAT!!! I noticed that judging the proper firmness of the mattress was a little more difficult because of the memory foam but once you’ve figured that out, the bed is amazing. Just to make sure, I laid on one that was similar to the one I currently own. The new memory foam model still felt like heaven by comparison."
